Christina:

I have loved photography since I was a little girl. I will never forget the excitement I had when I took my film into Walmart. Seeing the pictures for the first time has to be kind of like how kids open surprise toys now!?... Developing pictures was my hatchimals.... haha. Anyway, fast forward a few years and I took a photography class in highschool and I completely fell in love. As I was completing my degree in Psychology at the UofS, I took a few photography classes (where I got to develop my own film-loved it!). I met Simone when we were summer students at SGI. We quickly became friends and noticed that we have a common love for photography. Simone was there to capture a few moments of my wedding and has since taken yearly photos of me with my family. It's a major bonus to work with another photographer- free picture swap for life! Woop.

Simone:

My whole child-hood was spent around a camera. My dad would always have a camera on him, and he would usually be video-recording, too. I was likely struck by the camera for this reason. I was born and raised in Saskatoon (not super exciting- I know) and I went to university at the U of S for Mechanical Engineering, which is what I currently do for my day time job. As Christina mentioned, we met at SGI in 2010 - I was struck by her innate ability to make myself and others feel so comfortable and laugh so much! This is why she is such a great partner. My favorite type of session (other than weddings, which are just such an exciting way to spend my day) would be boudoir, because they can be so creative. I love achieving the goal of making the client feel beautiful and have photos she can always treasure.
